Te Puia Springs Golf Club is often referred to as New Zealand golf's best kept secret.
Just off State Highway 35, 5km north of Te Puia Springs on New Zealand's East Cape, is a stunning 18 hole course on a hilltop plateau overlooking the Pacific Ocean and out to Mount Hikurangi, sacred maunga of Ngati Porou. Raised tees, deep gullies, forested fairway edges, streams, lakes and other hazards make a round of golf at Te Puia a scenic adventure.
A country club house with bar and kitchen facillities operates on club days.
A sunny, elevated deck overlooks a panorama of the course and out to the distant mountains of the Raukumara Ranges.
